For over 25 years, Altura Coffee have been hand-roasting award-winning beans and building a reputation as one of New Zealand’s most trusted names in specialty coffee. With a customer base spanning both everyday drinkers and wholesale buyers, their website needed to work harder, and smarter, for everyone who landed on it.
The challenge wasn’t just aesthetic. Altura’s site is their most important sales touchpoint, and it was asking too much of the people using it. The path to purchase needed to feel effortless, whether someone was ordering a single bag for home or placing a wholesale order for their café.
We redesigned and rebuilt the Altura website with a refreshed user interface, streamlining the experience for both retail and wholesale customers. The focus throughout was reducing friction — every click, every decision point, every product page considered with the goal of getting the right customer to the right product with as little effort as possible.
